Many of us have an admirable capacity for using online teaching and learning resources. Yet here we find ourselves at least flustered as we are suddenly delivering full online courses. We abruptly found that online teaching is a different level altogether! Never mind the multiple learning curves to get comfortable with all aspects of your learner management system (LMS) and delivery technology such as ZOOM, TEAMS, SKYPE, Google Hangouts, or Go-to-Meeting. Let’s talk confidence in translating your well-tested and successful teaching strategies from face-to-face to a virtual format. Rich learning often comes from bouncing ideas around to help clarify understanding. Since there are literally thousands of online teaching pathways and resources available, there is a lot to bounce around. How in the world do we begin to make sense of it all? How do we choose the best ways to meet our students’ online learning needs? How do we keep them motivated and engaged? We just want to be able to provide learning opportunities that keep our students engaged so they will flourish. These one-hour sessions can be booked independently as needed, in a series according to your professional development plan, or as an intense cluster to help you plow through an urgent project.
